24 HOUR ROW FOR MENTAL FITNESS

24 HOUR ROW FOR MENTAL FITNESS

Coffs Harbour Surf Club has signed up to complete the 24hr row challenge for mental fitness. Raising awareness of the importance of fitness and Mental Health whilst supporting the Gotcha4Life Foundation. We are calling for ALL members to come down and jump on the rowing machine to clock up some meters for mental fitness.

This challenge is taking place on the weekend of the 11th/12th of September kicking off from 12pm Saturday. It will be live streamed nationwide with Surf Life Saving Clubs from all across Australia taking part. We would love for ALL our members and for our members to spread the word and get the Coffs Harbour community behind this cause and take on the challenge.

Now you don’t have to row individually for 24 hours but as a club our goal is to have two rowing machines in action for the 24 hours. You can come and row for as long or as little as you can and you are more than welcome to have multiple times on the machine with some rest periods in between.

We encourage everyone to come down and be involved in what will be a great event. Whether that is clocking up some metres on the rowing machine, donating what you can to the Gotcha4Life Foundation or just coming down to the club to show your support.

You can donate to the Coffs Harbour team at https://24hourrow.com.au/t/coffsharbourslsc

With all funds raised going to the Gotcha4Life Foundation which is an Australian not-for-profit foundation taking action by delivering mental fitness programs that engage, educate and empower local communities.

We ask that you nominate a time slot where you or your group row for a 30 minute period. You can do this by filling in a timeslot at the club in the members room. Alternatively you can contact the boat captain – Tommy on 0423233714 to secure your spot or need any further information.
