Proficiency Requirements

All award holders are required to complete the annual proficiency award.
These are to be completed by the end of December, if you wish to patrol, help with water saftey or compete for the club, this is a requirement.
We run specific days which are posted on the club calendar, on the website and the clubs Facebook page.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Do I have to do patrols?
A: Conducting patrols is a prerequisite for all senior active members.

Q: What do I do if I cannot carry out patrols due to work commitments?
A: We will endeavor to roster you on a patrol which bests suits your situation however if that can’t work, you are expected to write a formal letter to the Management Committee seeking exemption.

Q: What can I do if I am having trouble getting a patrol swap?
A: Make sure you look for a swap or sub as early as possible. The club’s Facebook page is a great place to let other members you need a sub.

Q: What happens if I fail to carry out my patrols more than once?
A: You will be liable to club suspension. See club policy on patrol attendance.
