22 Aug Richard: Awards Finalist for ‘Lifesaver of the Year’ Heads to Sydney
Richard is heading to Sydney this weekend as a NSWSLS Awards of Excellence finalist in the category, ‘Lifesaver of the Year.’
Richard is our club’s Mobile Services Officer. He holds many higher awards including his ARTC. In his spare time Richard recycles all the bottles and cans from the bar to raise funds via the government buy back scheme. These funds support our junior activity members (Nippers). In addition, he participates in the Monday night swims alongside our youth members conducted at The Coffs Aquatic Centre and he is regularly present Sunday morning during winter swimming at Park Beach with the senior surf sports group. As a patrolling member Richard has contributed many patrolling hours in past years. His wider family, Leticia, Levi, Cooper and Claire all participate in club administration, activities and goings on.
His recent election to the Coffs Harbour Surf Club Board is also very welcomed.
