Proficiency Requirements

All award holders are required to complete the annual proficiency update.
These are to be completed by the end of December, if you wish to patrol, help with water safety or compete for the club, this is a requirement.
We run specific days which are posted on the club calendar, on the website and the clubs Facebook page.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Do I have to do patrols?
A: Conducting patrols is a prerequisite for all senior active members.

Q: What do I do if I cannot carry out patrols due to work commitments?
A: We will endeavour to roster you on a patrol which bests suits your situation however if that can’t work, you are expected to write a formal letter to the Management Committee seeking exemption. You can also ask for a sub through your members portal.

Q: What can I do if I am having trouble getting a patrol swap?
A: Make sure you look for a swap or sub as early as possible. The club’s Facebook page is a great place to let other members you need a sub. We ask that you try with at least two weeks notice. If unsuccessful then contact Rachael or Jamie

Q: What happens if I fail to carry out my patrols more than once?
A: You will be liable to club suspension. See club policy on patrol attendance.
